Frequently asked questions

Answers to what you're most likely wondering about window cleaning with Suveko.

Price and payment

How much does window cleaning cost?

Starting prices and the calculator give a guide for ordinary jobs. Size, access and the service selected affect the price. We confirm scope, supplements and total price in writing before you decide.

How does regular cleaning work?

You can request 2 or 4 cleans per year. The first clean under a new agreement is at the ordinary price. From the second clean, receive 10% off standard maintenance for 2 visits a year or 15% for 4. Height, travel and extra work are not discounted. Pay per completed clean. Price, interval, duration and how to change or end the agreement are confirmed in writing.

How do I pay?

Normally by invoice after the work, with a 10-day payment period unless otherwise agreed. Payment terms appear in the quote. Under a regular agreement, you pay for each completed clean. Extra work and its price are agreed before it is carried out.

Is VAT included?

Prices are customer prices in Norwegian kroner. Suveko is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT. We will update the price information when registered. Your total price is always confirmed before you book.

Does sending an enquiry commit me to a booking?

No. The calculator and contact form are for non-binding enquiries. A job or regular cleaning agreement is entered into only after the scope, price, date or frequency and terms have been clarified and you have accepted the quote.

Before your clean

How should I count my windows?

One complete window within its own outer frame counts as one, even if it contains several panes. Separate window units count separately. For inside and outside cleaning, count the same window once. Choose the approximate size of the whole unit. Include a glazed terrace door as one unit; choose extra large / unsure for unusual assemblies or uncertain dimensions.

Do you need to visit before quoting?

Not always. Photos and information are often enough to assess a standard job. Difficult access, specialist windows or uncertainty may require a site visit. You can also request a visit in the contact form. Its scope and any cost are agreed before the visit.

How do I send photos?

Email photos to hei@suveko.no. After submitting the contact form, you receive a reference and an email link to use. Include overview photos of the windows, facade and access. Avoid including people, documents or other private information. Attach photos in your email app, not in the website form.

Do you need a water supply?

For exterior pure-water cleaning, we normally need access to a suitable tap. Tell us if you do not have an outside tap or access is difficult. We confirm the solution and any effect on the price before the job.

Do I need to be at home?

For exterior cleaning, usually not, provided water and safe access have been agreed. Windows and doors must be closed. For interior cleaning, we agree how to access the property. Do not send keys, alarm codes or other access credentials through the website form.

How should I prepare?

Clear indoor windowsills and the area in front of the windows. Make outdoor access available and tell us about loose fittings, leaks or other known issues. Do not move heavy objects or work at height for us; discuss obstacles with us instead.

Cleaning and safety

What does a standard clean include?

Ordinary window cleaning covers the agreed, safely accessible glass surfaces. The quote states whether outside frames are included. Interior frames, sills, tracks and cleaning between panes must be agreed separately. Choose interior, exterior or both when requesting a quote.

Do you clean both inside and outside?

Yes. You can request exterior cleaning, interior cleaning or both. We confirm access and the cleaning method before the job.

Does pure water clean windows effectively?

Where suitable, we use filtered pure water for exterior cleaning. Dirt is loosened with a brush and rinsed away. Filtering reduces the minerals that can otherwise leave marks as water dries, so windows may still be wet when we leave. Stubborn residue or damaged glass requires a separate assessment.

Do you clean in the rain?

Light rain does not necessarily prevent exterior cleaning. We always assess the conditions. Strong winds, frost or other weather that makes work unsafe or prevents a good result may mean rearranging the appointment. We will contact you to agree a new time.

Can you clean high windows?

Many exterior windows can be cleaned from the ground using a water-fed pole. Safe access, the actual height and window type matter more than the number of floors. Windows on the second floor or above (Norwegian 3. etasje), and other difficult conditions, require individual assessment. We do not promise to work from unsafe positions.

What about glazing bars, paint, silicone or building residue?

External glazing bars can add work and are assessed from photos. Bars between the panes do not normally add cleaning work. Removing paint, glue, silicone, cement or construction residue is not included in standard cleaning. We assess the glass, coatings and residue before agreeing whether specialist work can be performed safely.

What happens if you find damage or a leak?

We document visible issues where needed, inform you and discuss how to proceed. If there are signs of a leak or a risk of damage, we stop work in the affected area. Contact us promptly if you notice a problem after cleaning, preferably with photos. Existing damage and any damage during the work are assessed individually; this does not limit your rights.

Is Suveko approved and insured?

Yes. Suveko is approved as a cleaning business by the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority and has liability insurance. Coverage depends on the policy terms and the circumstances of the individual case.
