Terms for window cleaning
Clear agreements before work begins.
Version: 3 October 2026
The quote describes price, scope and any special conditions. A specific written agreement takes precedence over these general terms, but not over mandatory consumer rights. This version applies to new agreements that refer to it; existing agreements are not automatically changed.
1. Suveko and the agreement
1.1 Suveko AS
SUVEKO AS, organisation no. 938 279 845, provides window cleaning to consumers, housing associations and businesses. Other services require a separate agreement. Business address: Moen nedre 19A, 2072 Dal, Norway (not a visitor address).
1.2 Formation of the agreement
The calculator and enquiry form are for non-binding enquiries, not bookings. A job is agreed when the customer accepts the quote after the scope, total price, date or interval, and terms have been clarified. The agreement consists of the quote or order confirmation, these terms and any written additions. The customer receives written confirmation.
1.3 Contact
Email: hei@suveko.no. Phone: +47 919 08 011. Website: suveko.no. Requests to change a job, complaints and withdrawal notices can be sent by email.
2. Scope of the service
2.1 Agreed work
The service covers the work described in the quote. Ordinary window cleaning concerns the agreed, safely accessible glass surfaces: inside, outside or both, according to the selected scope.
2.2 Extras and boundaries
The quote states whether exterior frames are included. Frames, sills, tracks, glazing bars, cleaning between panes, glass balustrades, enclosed balconies, conservatories, roof windows and other special surfaces are only included when agreed. This does not remove work already included in an accepted quote.
2.3 Access and safety
Suveko does not undertake work assessed as unsafe. Strong wind, frost, thunderstorms, difficult access or other safety issues may require affected work to be postponed or stopped. We inform the customer and agree a safe way forward.
2.4 Expected result
Work is carried out professionally using a method suited to the glass, soiling and access. Limescale, paint, adhesive, silicone, cement and other construction residue require separate assessment and are not ordinary cleaning. Cleaning does not repair scratches, wear, corrosion or damage. Pure-water cleaning can leave the glass wet to dry naturally.
3. Prices, changes and payment
3.1 Basis of pricing
Starting prices and the calculator provide indicative price information. The final price reflects the agreed scope, window information, access, height, condition and agreed extras. Total price and scope are confirmed in writing before the customer decides. An agreed fixed price or legally binding estimate is governed by the agreement and applicable law; website terminology does not limit mandatory rights.
3.2 Variations and additional work
If conditions differ from the information underlying the quote, Suveko informs the customer. Additional work and price changes are agreed before the affected work is performed. If the customer cannot be reached, work requiring a new decision is postponed unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Travel charges or a paid site visit are agreed in advance.
3.3 Validity and taxes
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they state a different deadline. Customer prices are in NOK. Suveko is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT. Price information is updated upon registration; registration does not by itself permit an increase to an already agreed total customer price.
3.4 Invoicing
Work is normally invoiced after completion, with payment due within 10 days unless otherwise agreed. Late-payment interest and charges may apply only within the conditions and limits permitted by law.
4. Scheduling, changes and cancellation
4.1 Rescheduling
Let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule. We try to find another appointment but cannot guarantee a particular date.
4.2 Cancellation
Please preferably send cancellation notices by email. For ordinary cancellation, Suveko can only claim for completed work, incurred costs and documented financial loss to the extent allowed by the agreement and applicable law. Saved costs and opportunities to limit the loss are taken into account. The full job price is not charged automatically. Statutory withdrawal is handled under section 4.4, not as a cancellation subject to a fee.
4.3 Weather and other obstacles
If weather or other conditions prevent safe work, we contact the customer and agree how to proceed. Work not performed is not charged. Any other claims are assessed under the agreement and applicable law; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
4.4 Consumer right of withdrawal
For distance and off-premises contracts covered by the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw, starting on the day after the service agreement was made. The customer receives the required information and a standard withdrawal form. Missing information may extend the deadline under the Act. A clear notice sent before the deadline is sufficient; the form is optional.
If the customer wants work to start during the withdrawal period, we obtain an express request and the required acknowledgement of when the right may be lost. Following such a start, a withdrawing customer can only be charged proportionately for services already provided when the legal conditions are satisfied. For a fully performed service, the right is lost only when the legal requirements for consent and acknowledgement have been met. Completing the first visit under an ongoing agreement does not mean the whole agreement has been fully performed.
Payments are refunded in accordance with the Act, normally no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice. Only deductions permitted by law may be made.
4.5 Regular cleaning
A regular agreement can cover 2 or 4 cleans a year. The first clean under a new agreement is at the ordinary price. From the second clean, the discount is 10% on standard maintenance for 2 visits a year, or 15% for 4. Height supplements, travel and extra work are not discounted. Payment is per completed clean. Price, scope, interval, duration, and how to change or end the agreement are confirmed in writing before acceptance. A minimum commitment applies only if clearly and specifically agreed. Neither the calculator nor enquiry form creates a regular agreement.
5. Customer responsibilities
5.1 Information
The customer provides accurate details of scope, height, access and known weaknesses, leaks or fragile surfaces that may affect the work. This does not require the customer to discover hidden construction defects.
5.2 Preparation
Clear window sills and accessible obstacles where work will be carried out. Keep windows and vents closed for exterior cleaning. Make water and any agreed electricity supply available. Customers should not perform dangerous work or move heavy items without discussion; tell us about obstacles.
5.3 Availability
The customer provides agreed access. Any need to be present is agreed in advance. Access codes and sensitive information should not be sent through the website form.
5.4 Missing cooperation
If work cannot proceed because of a matter the customer is responsible for, we clarify the next steps. Claims for time, travel or loss must have a basis in the agreement and applicable law and be documented. Suveko must limit its loss.
6. Complaints and remedies
6.1 Tell us
Check the result when practical and complain within a reasonable time after discovering, or when you should have discovered, a possible defect. Mandatory statutory complaint periods apply; these terms do not impose a shorter deadline.
6.2 Documentation
Describe the issue and include photos where possible. Not having photos does not prevent a complaint.
6.3 Remedying defects
For a defect Suveko is responsible for, we are given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and remedy it under applicable law. The customer retains other remedies and the right to take necessary action under mandatory law.
7. Liability and existing conditions
7.1 Customer property
Responsibility for damage is assessed in each case under the agreement and applicable law. Suveko remains responsible for damage for which it is liable; citing previous damage or weaknesses does not excuse our own unsafe or negligent performance.
7.2 Known and hidden weaknesses
The customer discloses known defects. Suveko takes visible issues into account and stops affected work if there are signs of leakage or a risk of damage. Existing damage or a hidden weakness does not automatically establish liability for either party; cause, performance and applicable law must be assessed.
7.3 Indirect loss for business customers
For business customers, Suveko is not liable for indirect loss, operating losses or lost profit unless caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or mandatory law provides otherwise. This limitation does not apply to consumers.
8. Privacy, applicable law and disputes
8.1 Personal information
Necessary information is processed for enquiries, quotations, delivery, invoicing and follow-up. The website privacy notice explains legal bases, suppliers, retention and rights. Requesting a quote does not authorise use of photos or testimonials in marketing; that is agreed separately.
8.2 Norwegian law
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Mandatory consumer rights take precedence over these terms and any individual contractual terms.
8.3 Disputes
The parties first try to resolve disagreements through dialogue. Consumers can seek mediation from the Norwegian Consumer Authority when the case falls within its scheme and use relevant public complaint bodies. Unresolved disputes are handled by the ordinary courts under applicable jurisdiction rules.
